A Mecca for earthenware since the 18th century, Moustiers has kept the tradition alive to this day. The visit begins with a film presenting manufacturing techniques. The Museum boasts a rich collection of pieces spanning the entire period of production. The most brilliant period, the first half of the 18th century, is amply represented by large plates representing hunting scenes and decorations in the Berain style from Clérissy's factory, as well as mythologies and grotesques from Olérys' and Laugier's factories. End-of-the-century decorations using the «petit feu» and «grand feu» methods occupy a significant place, much like those from the 19th and 20th century, still so little known to the public.
