The Draguignan Municipal Museum of art and History was created the day after the French Revolution. Presented throughout six rooms, its collections contain an important nuimber of prestigious works by French, Dutch, and Italian schools from the 17th to the 20th century: CHAMPAIGNE, DE TROY, VOUET, NIGNARD, GREUZE, VAN-LOO, PANINI, CANOVA, HOUDON, RUBENS, TENIERS, CLAUDEL, RENOIR... 16th century armor, a collection of fayence and porcelain, bronze animal statuettes, and period furniture round out the collection. There are also rooms dedicated to archeology and local history as well as a room reserved for temporary exhibitions.
